read more about the fantastic trip
Wikipedia - Wadi Rum (Arabic: وادي رم) is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in south west Jordan. It is the largest wadi in Jordan. The name Rum most likely comes from an Aramaic root meaning 'high' or 'elevated'. To reflect its Arabic pronunciation properly, archaeologists transcribe the name Wadi Ramm. While most of bloggers were thinking and blogging about their favourite blogger, your favourite blogger :p Jad was biking & hiking in Wadi Rum. Camping in Wadi Rum is a great experience by itself; adding Bike & Hike makes it a very memorable experience, unlike most of people, we were riding Bikes instead of camels. Tareef Biking Club did the magic by organizing this adventure trip, Tareef staff were so professional and helpful, they took care of all details, the trip wouldn't be fun and safe without their efforts. Zawaideh Desert Camp was like a five stars hotel, I'd compare their food quality to Amman Ata Ali and their service to a fi

My Favourite blogger

Sorry for being late, I actually thought I wrote and scheduled it to be published on 27th :-) anyway, I was biking & hiking in wadi rum , I guess it's a good excuse :-) We're talking about bloggers not blogs, right? so I'll be writing about bloggers I know in person ONLY (it doesn't make a sense to pick someone as favourite blogger when you don't know him/her in person) My favourite Jordanian bloggers is Na3ouri & Mazen Al-Ali . (Random order :p) Favourite 3looj blogger is of course Dave . That's it? Saying that X or Y is my favourite blogger has nothing to do with their blogs; they are my favourite because it happens that I know them in person and it happens that they are a good friends; in short you might favourite me and dislike my blog [tags] bloggers,blogger,blogs[/tags]

Influenza strikes again and other stuff.

Been almost all the day in bed for three days now because of periodically known time and well hijacker, Influenza. I tried almost all advised herbals that supposed to heal or ease down the side effects but none worked out and this make me think of why flu has a season, I mean does that virus has a season to spread or is it out bodies that has seasons of ability to host the virus, Hareega please burn it out. On the other news, Noam Chomsky talks about How Propaganda is made Gutsy Gibbon is cool and it's stable from day one or actually a 30 days prior to release date which is awesome, developers did their best and now giving their best work under your disposal, don't get shy and upgrade to Gutsy. Now I have Ubuntu Baseball Cap although I don't play Baseball and I don't even watch it but with Canonical Store it was possible for someone like me to have Ubuntu Baseball cap, although I have had bad experience with them but that pushes me to say American and Canadian roc

30 minutes experience at Civil Status Department

May God be with you is a common wish you would say to a friend or relative who have some work to finish with any governmental department in Jordan but I can assure it's just a history when it comes to Civil Status and Passport Department . Today I decided to go to CSPD to renew my ID as it was very shabby and the photo was taken like 10 years ago; I wouldn't even recognize myself looking to it and I was delaying this task day after day, month after month; actually year after year :-) because visiting a governmental department would be the last thing I fancy to do but today I was shocked and astonished!!! it took only 30 minutes, THIRTY MINUTES to issue my new ID and by 30 minutes I mean from the minute I entered the building to the minute I left it, including filling the application form, standing in the queue, paying 3 JODs and getting my ID. It's amazing to see governmental departments in Jordan getting better and maybe they have been doing good for a while, my last expe

Driving in Jordan

A question to be asked to those who walk in the street especially those who walks in group of three or four and they decide to walk in the middle of the street, DO YOU HAVE FUCKING TIRES ? If so then the Central Traffic Directorate have to implement a new numbering system for those people, something like sticking a thick-headed-man number plat. Driving in Jordan is so stressing, it's not surprising to see some teenagers doing some semi-drift around one of our 8th circles while the traffic officer smoking instead of stopping them, I wonder if he's getting paid to relax and smoke or to control traffic, stopping idiots and fining them. I have my car for less than a month and it's my first driving experience and I can confirm it's so stressing to drive in Amman, speeding in the right-lane seems to be acceptable, crossing the road at the entrance or the exist of the tunnel seems to be a habit, ignoring the traffic light in Al-Bayader makes sense. Driving in Wadi Saqra HIGH

The Sword of Allah on Military History Podcast

Military History Podcast is one of the most informative podcats and with my passion to military it is of course it is my favourite podcast, I wait for each episode even more waiting for LOST new episodes. Although I consider history is matter of point of view and I consider it always to be biased, this podcast is relatively unbiased and objective documentary podcast, MHP do cite their information and give links for further reading about each episode which you are not likely to see especially if you are addicted to Satellite channels documentaries, yes we do miss those terminologies in most if not all satellite documentary channels. During last September they posted The Sword of Allah - Episode One and Episode Two . MHP is highly recommended for those with passion to history, military or at least one time shot for Sword Of Allah. Fancy .. yet .. non-alcoholic!

Serving Alcohol in Jordanian restaurants and cafes has become as popular as serving coffee and more popular than serving water, if you ask the lovely waiter from Philippine for cup of water, ice tea, slush (NOT Smoothie) or a milkshake s/he will give you weird look. Having alcohol in cafes are restaurants isn't cool as many think especially when all uncool folks will be around the alcoholic place and of course they will drive back to home, DRUNK. Chuparosa is a newly established cafe and they advertise themselves as Fancy .. yet .. non-alcoholic! exactly, things can be fancy without serving alcohol. Being against serving alcohol in restaurants and cafes doesn't mean I have religious reasons, although they do affect my opinion on this matter but there are many reasons behind such opinion, I mean if you want alcohol go to bar, enjoy your life and then call parents, family or one of your friends to drive you back home and you are lucky if you live close to Rover's Return, go

On Yahoo! Movies

Yahoo! Movies has a very smart recommendation system, it's based on your rate movies you watch, I'm not sure how their system work but I believe it has something to do with your personal taste and available genres . I have 64 rated movies only and based on that rating they are awesomely able to predict if I'm if a movie would fit my taste or not, it's very accurate and I like it and recently started to check if a movie going to fit my taste before heading down town to buy the pirate DVD copy of it. Using Yahoo! movies is useful even if you are not addicted, using it helped me to watch quality and tasty movies, they also have a weekly recommendation newsletter which will always have something worthy to watch. Finally Yahoo! has something to do in my e-life and not google. [tags] yahoo, google, personal taste, recommendation system,addicted,pirate,genres,smart,movies[/tags]
