This statistics by drupal statistics module, first I thought it could be bug in the module but when I downloaded the raw logs and checked myserver stats
I got this

so I had to apply rough optimization on apache, mysql, php to keep server breathing

and finally I'm watching the floods via tcpdump and I'm really enjoying it
