EVERY DROP COUNTS... Water is a PRECIOUS resource in Jordan since it is a small country with limited natural resources. Recently, it has been rated among the 4 most water-poor countries in the world ( a massive blow when compared to position 10 a few years ago). Growing populations and ongoing drought are squeezing our water resources dry, causing natural habitat degradation and impacting our everyday use of water. We have no choice but to pay more attention to how we are using water, and how we may be wasting it. We must bridge the gap between our understanding of how important water is to our survival and what we can do to ensure that we have an adequate supply of clean water for years to come. LET"S GET THE COMMUNITY INVOLVED! Every drop counts and every person can make a difference. Let's plant the seeds of selflessness, courage and community spirit. The Earth is One country and Mankind is its citizen! The Campaign against Climate Change (UK) and the Call to Action (Jordan

Royal Jordanian Airline joke

A young lawyer on a business trip, in the lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3 waiting his next flight, he noticed a really beautiful lady reading a book next to him. He thought to himself: 'Wow, she's so gorgeous she must be a flight attendant. But which airline does she work for?' Hoping to pick her up, he leaned towards her and said the Delta Airline slogan: 'Love to fly and it shows?' She gave him a confused look and he immediately thought to himself: 'Damn, she doesn't work for Delta Airlines.' A moment later, another slogan popped into his head. He leaned towards her again, 'Something special in the air?' She gave him the same confused look. He then removed Singapore Airlines off the list. Next he tried the Thai Airways slogan: 'Smooth as Silk.' This time the woman turned to him 'What the hell do you want?' The lawyer smiled, then lay back in his chair, and said 'Ahhhhh, ROYAL JORDANIAN!! [tags]heathrow terminal 3,delta airline

260 Gas station vs 6 Million citizen - Fuel Crisis in Jordan

Two hundred and sixty gas station owner were able to impose their wishes on the government while the last found itself compelled to switch back to the monthly pricing system although they were about to install the weekly pricing system in favor of the six million citizen or we prefer to think like that. For better coverage maybe you want to check Alghad or Jordantimes but my question is, do we have a government that is strong enough to protect the 6 million citizen from the greedy-businessmen starting from gas station business ending with shawerma? Friends, Who among us is not at a loss for words? Tears pour out. Tears of joy. Tears of relief. A stunning, whopping landslide of hope in a time of deep despair. In a nation that was founded on genocide and then built on the backs of slaves, it was an unexpected moment, shocking in its simplicity: Barack Obama, a good man, a black man, said he would bring change to Washington, and the majority of the country liked that idea. The racists were present throughout the campaign and in the voting booth. But they are no longer the majority, and we will see their flame of hate fizzle out in our lifetime. There was another important "first" last night. Never before in our history has an avowed anti-war candidate been elected president during a time of war. I hope President-elect Obama remembers that as he considers expanding the war in Afghanistan. The faith we now have will be lost if he forgets the main issue on which he beat his fellow Dems in the primaries and then a great war he

Germany Foreign Ministry migrats to OpenSource Desktops

While we are trying to get more contracts and pay more money to planet more proprietary solutions in our IT infrastructure and to serve our gratification in sending more PR about our success in signing new contracts to pay more money, Germany Foreign Ministry decided to do something else, although money might not be an issue to them as it is to us. Open Source desktops are far cheaper to maintain than proprietary desktop configurations, says a diplomat at the German Embassy in Madrid and the former head of IT at the Foreign Ministry. Enjoy ready the rest of this awesome piece of news [tags]desktop configurations, proprietary solutions, german embassy, foreign, ministry, gratification, diplomat, desktops, contracts, infrastructure, open ,source,madrid,germany,money[/tags]

The Promised Land - Michael Moore

Although if I were American I'd vote for Mccain but I loved the way Moore is putting it. The Promised Land ...a message from Michael Moore Monday, November 3rd, 2008 Friends, Tomorrow. All of us. You, me, and everyone we know. Eight years is enough. Eight weeks was enough. We have a chance to redeem this country, to prove we're better than this, that which Bush has made of us. McCain is right about one thing: Barack Obama is the most liberal senator in the United States Senate. More liberal than Ted Kennedy. When was the last time you had a chance to send the MOST liberal senator to the White House? Trust me, it won't happen again in our lifetime. Every vote is critical -- even in hard red states like Texas and Alabama; and true blue ones like New York, California and Michigan. Tomorrow, we need to create a massive popular vote that will give Obama a stunning mandate to return this country to we, the people. Let's write one for the history books and rocket Obama into t

Why Parents Drink

The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees was absent but had not phoned in sick one day. Needing to have an urgent problem with one of the main computers resolved, he dialled the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper. ' Hello ? ' 'Is your daddy home?' he asked. ' Yes ,' whispered the small voice. May I talk with him?' The child whispered, ' No .' Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, 'Is your Mummy there?' ' Yes ' 'May I talk with her?' Again the small voice whispered, ' No ' Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, 'Is anybody else there?' ' Yes , ' whispered the child, ' a policeman . ' Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, 'May I speak with the policeman?' ' No, he's busy , ' whispered the child. 'Busy doing what?'
