Public Security Directorate are getting quality they are almost a private company or even better.

Last Sunday I wanted to issue No Criminal Record Certificate and honestly I was prepared for the worst and was mentally prepared to wait all the day long at least and I even had some chocolate, chew gym and got my tablet to play some chess while waiting but I was mistaken.

When I saw the number of people in the queue I was seriously thinking to go back home but since I needed it and since I was mentally prepared and equipped with my tablet I decided to be patient but surprisingly the queue were moving really fast, the officers there were so efficient and polite I can even compare them to many private companies and many well salaried employees, namely Orange, I usually spend 30 up to 45 minutes just to pay my bill, YES to pay, I mean to give them some good 50 JOD every month I have to wait 30-45 good minutes and I'm paying three JDs to PSD to get my certificate and it's like once in a life time it took less than 45 minutes to get issued with five certified copies of original.

Another good incident happened two days ago when I was coming back from Ma'an a police officer waived to me to stop although I wasn't speeding because of Road winds waiting for things to get back to normal he greeted me and others in car and of course asked for driving license and car license and then he told me that they have a free tea and coffee in their next stop and he advised me to stop there and rest for 30 minutes if I'm tired or if I drove for more than three hours on row.

Honestly when he stopped me I was thinking if I have enough money to pay whatever ticket he would give me at the same time I was sure that I wasn't speeding because in general I stick to the speeding limit regardless if it's a highway road crossing villages or my weekly climbing against the winds from Dead Sea to Amman and I accuse some propagandists for that.

Recently we started to see some female patrols in Amman, which I consider a very healthy step, believe me in many cases it's better to deal with a women than a man.

Finally I salute PSD efforts especially when it comes to dealing with civilians in an efficient and a human to human manner

I have been and still busy working on my top secret project that should change the world into a better place, No kidding; I don't have a top secret project and I've been busy doing nothing other than reading, socializing and working on two voluntary projects.

I start reading around 9:00 AM and since the weather is getting warmer day by day, I sit by the balcony to read and enjoy birds signing and the natural light but it's about couple of hours before getting pissed off of those people who come to visit/beg/flirt the former minister and current parliament member.

The guy seems to be nice and seems to be helpful and very respectful to his people but they don't seems to be respectful to our neighbourhood at all, they come early morning and stay for like six hours waiting for him although the guy have a schedule they knew he's not coming home today and they should go to his office instead but they just like to stay in the street, eating nuts and keeping an eye on every maid taking the garbage bag out.

I'd love to share some photos I took of those people but out of respect to human beings and for the sake of not losing faith of humanity in Jordan, I wont but isn't it really bad to pee in the street? between cars? MY CAR and the neighbor's car! GOD I don't mind their noise nor sitting on my car, i don't mind anything but DO NOT PEE IN PUBLIC, especially if you are an old man with the fully fledged with traditional customs and when you don't have a cleansing hand gel! and then you go to shake hand with others, smoke a cigarette and probably enjoy a falafel sandwich.

On the other side of the news; Happy mother day.

Blog About Jordan Day
If you don't feel safe in Jordan I don't know where else in the world you would feel safe.

Where else in the world you would leave your car alarm off with two windows opened leaving your laptop and a dSLR camera without worrying about them, where else in the world someone in down town would follow you on foot up the start thinking he's chasing you and then you find out he want to give you your bag that you forgot in his place or somewhere in the street.

We can't say Jordan is a crime free country but crime is a very unusual thing to hear about in Jordan and maybe this is why we all talk about small little crimes when it happens.

In 90s we had a serial killer called Abu Shakoush (Abu Hammer) , the guy used to carry his hammer and knock pharmacists at head, he was one memorable serial killer in Jordan and maybe the only serial killer that we ever heard of in the kingdom.

After like committing three or four crimes he came to Jabal Amman, First Circle, just exactly 200 meters from my place, he wanted to knock an old grocery owner, he did it but apparently God didn't want that old man to die yet (he still alive and kicking, same grocery at First Circle) and so Abu Shakoush took the cash and tried to run away when Amer Al-Shaweesh (A Young patriotic who used to sell coffee at First Circle) followed him and caused some injuries to him that slowed him up; 20 minutes later Jabal Amman from First Circle to the third was filled with Police, approximately there was a soldier with his gears on every meter from the old Greater Amman Municipality to The Third Circle and of course they were covering the main and sub-streets.

Personally I've never seen that number of soldiers not even in Hollywood movies, two days later they announced that they've captured him.

Moral of this story, There are some people whom will always ready to protect you, Citizens and Authorities; Jordanians are different, although many are poor but yet they don't steal.

I *totally* agree with her but not her reasoning

Love it or hate it, she's making a sense ;)

iPhone now with P2P torrent

Tuaw - iPhone Hacker core announced a preliminary version of a Transmission Peer-to-Peer client for iPhone. The code is ported from the Transmission site to run on the iPhone's ARM microprocessor. Tests on downloaded files produced the identical MD5 checksum as downloading via wget.

The intention was to download audio and video but imagine if you could synchronise your Transmission downloads on your laptop with iPhone and resume on the go with your Wireless iPhone; God! that would be great!

I've never thought that I'll make a cent out of blogging but in the last two years I made around $4000 out of blogging using various adversing models. Couple of months ago I received a cheque from text-link-ads which is the best advertising agency I dealt with so far.

I tried many advertising agencies like Google Adsense, Text Link Ads, Adbrites, some advertisers contacted me personally to place an ad on certain posts, I tried PayPerPost and ReviewMe and the best so far was Text Link Ads.

A key factor to success in making money out of your blog is to place the Ad code/plugin and keep blogging without thinking about What should I blog about? basically just be yourself and keep your blog just as it is and actually it feels way better; whatever you're talking about be sure someone out there in the other side of the world interested in placing an Ad within your contents.

The only drawback with Text Link Ads that they don't support Wire transfer to bank account and Jordanian banks will rip you off when you send the cheque to them so I guess we should blame Jordanian banks rather than Text Link Ads, Not sure if there is any alternative solution to this yet.

There are also plenty of other revenue generating ideas, for example, You can think about boosting your content by finding bloggers interested in writing freelance posts.

Now, I'm waiting for around $1000 in the next couple of days.

HAPPY MAKING MONEY OUT OF BLOGGING
