Your freedom is worth more than you think, take advantage of it while you can.
I seriously cant see the comparison basis
Can you see "Borj al arab" hotel in amman picture? at the top right of it ?
I agree ;)
Wha...? Comparing Amman to Dubai? I bet next you're going to start saying that their sidewalks are better than ours!
OMG... the title took my eyes... I wanted to read this post and I intended to comment even before I browse it,, my eyes r still taken by the title and the title only,, guess why ,,, flicker is banned here in Dubai,,, :s ,,, im commenting now just because I decided to do so,,
thanks for pointing it out, now i saw it:pBut the basis on which its compared is still vague. I mean architecture wise both are ugly, location wise both have a problem, paywise maybe?:p thats the only thing I find borj al 3arab in Jordan more reasonable:pYa3ni comparing these two is like comparing apples with oranges.Seriously, if want to compare you can compare the old Architecture of Jabal lwabdeh in Amman for instance with the total "pre-fabricated" one of Dubai , the first one engraved with culture and built with local flavour whilst the other blindly following the globalization stream with no identity what so ever.
oh come on guys! he's not comparing architecture. he's comparing naming. how does that even qualify as a borj?
For those who claim that the Borg al-Arab in Dubai is ugly, I have to say, "What choo talkin' 'bout, foo?" (That's a Mr. T joke, for those of you who don't know.) As a former student of architecture, I find the building extremely impressive.
Thank you roba for backing me up, I'll rethink about boycotting you and burning your shoes.
man.. i might even toss in some Photoshopping skills and make the sign show a little more..
Quoting Jad:"For me the first LOOKS much better and close.." That doenst sound like comparing names, thus came my reply:)
Roba, That would be great.*Ohoud, Yes and that because it's ours, I feel it's mine and I belong to this place. I'm comparing names and places but not architecture at least because I know nothing about architecture. *deri baliek balasht a7ebek :p
shshshshI know the owner of that hotel in Amman (wallah)if he knows that your guys comparing his famous hotel to the one in Dubaihe will sue you
